Timber Flooring Choices
SOLID TIMBER FLOORING
A solid timber floor provides a lifetime of flooring and allow rejuvenation by simply resanding and polishing.
ENGINEERED FLOATING FLOORING
An engineered floating floor consists of 3-6mm of solid timber veneer on a plywood base. These floors can also be rejuvenated by resanding and polishing.
LAMINATED FLOATING FLOORS
A laminate floor is a synthetic floor with multiple layers fused together. A laminate floor is durable, can take minor scratches, wear and tear. A laminate floor can offer you a stylish look with a fraction of the cost of a solid timber floor.
DIRECT STICK TIMBER FLOORS
A direct stick timber floor refers to the floorboards being glued down directly to the subfloor. i.e. concrete or partial board.
TIMBER LOOK VINYL FLOORS
The warm look of wood with easy maintenance. Vinyl flooring is hardwearing, hygienic and easy to clean.

What timbers are suitable for South Australian conditions?

The South Australian climate along the coastal regions is typically known to be "Mediterranean". Hot dry summers and cool dry winters.  
With this in mind, we can help you choose a timber floor that can withstand these conditions. European Oak, Ash and Tasmanian Oak timber are our recommended choices as flooring timbers in the South Australian climate.  They are hardy and stable with medium strength qualities and look great when they are stained.  These hardwood timbers are versatile and perfect for flooring.  Blackbutt is also another popular flooring choice.
